I am photographing Charlotte and Daniels’ wedding in August at Wymondham Abbey, but first we had to head out for a little trail run on their pre-wedding in Norwich.
Charlotte was a bit weary of having her photograph taken, so to help calm her nerves before the big day we headed to Whitlingham broads for an e-session. On arrival I was told by Charlotte that Daniel had not helped matters by teasing; telling her to practice her smile in the mirror *tut tut*
I think one of the things that makes me a good photographer is the ability to put people at ease in front of the camera…as soon as some tells me that they or their partner does not feel comfortable having their picture taken it becomes my personal mission and challenge to change that. Usually couples that book me for their wedding decide on a engagement or pre-wedding shoot so they can have a little sneak peek at what it will be like on the big day – this makes them feel more at ease and it’s one less thing to worry about. Some choose to use the images on save the date cards, invitations or signing books, while others just want some lovely images to hang on their walls.
Charlotte however (as you can see from the pictures) had nothing to worry about – she was a natural and so was Daniel who was a great aid in helping me to get Charlotte to giggle!
