2013 | A year in review

What a roller-coaster of a year! In February this year, after pursuing photography part-time for two years, I left full-time employment and joined the world of self-employment as a photographer.

Leaving the security of full-time employment was a big decision, but with the support of family, friends and past clients I took the plunge, and I’m not looking back!

It’s been a busy year photographing weddings, families and boudoir shoots, and I am so pleased I am now a recommended photographer for 6 weddings venues covering Norfolk and Suffolk.

It  meant hard work, long hours and careful budgeting but here we are on the brink of a new year and I can’t wait to see what 2014 holds.

In 2013:

I was published by two National wedding magazines.

I turned 30.

My sister got engaged.

I re-launched my website.

I attended 3 wedding expo’s.

I visited Turkey.

I trained with Kate Hopewell-Smith, a renowned boudoir photographer.

I got my first tattoo.

I bought a label printer (game changer!).

My parents celebrated 30 years of marriage.

I met many amazing, supportive clients, which allowed me to live my passion.

One thing is for sure, there will be many ups and downs – but let’s enjoy every moment and live life to the full! Here’s to 2014 – have a good one!
