Elegant black-tie wedding at The Norfolk Mead in Norfolk

I’m excited to share with you the Norfolk Mead wedding of Ranya and Dervis  who had a summer wedding at the lovely Norfolk Mead Hotel. The Norfolk Mead is a Georgian country house wedding venue in Norfolk and they chose it because it has so many options they could fully personalise .  I love photographing weddings at The Norfolk Mead, because it’s one of the wedding venues in Norfolk  that lets in ample light, has incredible grounds, and combines a boutique hotel, with cottages and a reception venue all on the same grounds. Ranya and Dervis opted to make use of this because having everything in one venue meant more time with guests!

Getting ready & Ceremony

Ranya got ready in a relaxed atmosphere, in the “Sweet Chestnut”  cottage on the grounds of the hotel, surrounded by her mum and bridesmaids  The bridal party then walked to the ceremony venue from the cottage… which proved interesting when Ranya’s veil got stuck in one of the rose bushes lining the path to the venue! The wedding itself was an intimate and elegant affair. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading which was a lovely personal touch.

Reception and Evening

The reception was at the same venue with a cocktail drinks reception in the afternoon. They decorated the venue with elegant white flowers and lots of candles which added a touch of elegant and sophistication to the black tie event.  I loved it as it was so simplistic and timeless which reflected the couples taste perfectly.  They also had a traditional Turkish band lead them into their first dance, which definitely helped to start the evening with a bang!

Ranya wore a beautiful Jenny Packham dress  and looked absolutely flawless, while Dervis wore a classic Tuxedo (swoon!).  If you are looking for a Norfolk wedding photographer or are planning your wedding at the Norfolk Mead Hotel,  I would love to hear from you.
