Shahnaz and Shakeel got married in a very intimate and personal ceremony at Moore Park in Rickmansworth outside of London.
They grew up in the same street in Pakistan, and although Shahnaz moved to the UK when she was a child, they kept in touch, and she visited Shakeel regularly on her return visits to Pakistan.
After many years their friendship turned into something more and on one visit to Pakistan, Shakeel proposed.
I found their Nikah ceremony, performed by Imaad from Nikah London extremely moving. Even though I am Christian, I felt much of what he said could be applied to marriage in general, irrespective of religion (or the absence of it).
Shakeel and Shahnaz made such an impact on me… such genuine, calm, and soft spoken souls, they truly deserve every bit of happiness and good fortune.
