Leann is South-African and Chris is British – so to spare everyone the complications that come with planning an international wedding they thought – keep it small and simple…
However the ‘small’ wedding grew into a…(dare I say big?!), beautiful and extravagant affair. Once you meet Leann and Chris however you realise that this was a futile plan from the get-go…they are too passionate and dedicate to life – they can’t do half measures.
Cowley Manor, the award winning contemporary country house hotel in the Cotswold district (rumoured to be where Lewis Carroll found his inspiration and wrote Alice in Wonderland) created the perfect backdrop for the wedding. I think I actually let out a little squeal of delight and excitement when I saw it the very first time! Utterly unique and the pinacle of luxury, it is set on 55 acres of private parkland and even features it’s own victorian waterfall cascades!
On arrival the morning of the wedding, I walked into Leann’s room and it felt like I had been invited to a girly sleepover party – the bride and bridesmaids were all in various stages of lounging in robes or having their make-up and hair done with the giggles and laughter of best friends filling the room :)
After a few ‘getting ready’ and detail shots, I dashed downstairs to meet the boys for a few photos in one of the many lounge areas of the manor.
Dashing back upstairs, Leann was ready to get dressed (she had two dresses by the way – told you – no half measures!) and we headed to the small chapel situated on the manor grounds.
