Couple shoots (whether it’s as part of a pre-wedding shoot or just for fun) always excite me, especially if I know the couple in question are keen to try something different and be adventurous!
I usually head for green fields or pebble beaches when photographing lifestyle shoots – but I wanted to try something different… And I knew this couple would be able to pull it off! So we did this shoot in two parts, part one took place in a gorgeous Norfolk rape field, and the second part in the old rustic part of Norwich city centre called Elm Hill.
Another thing I love is when couples want to be involved in the creative side of a shoot including styling, props, clothing and location to name a few! Lizelle and I decided our theme would be yellow – and as you can see, touches of yellow were used right through the shoot (Lizelle even made sure Jaco wore a yellow shirt to match the theme!).
We headed of to the big city for the second part of Jaco and Lizelle’s Couple shoot.
The writing you see in the background in some of the images is not only a wall, but a WHOLE building covered in text! The first time I saw it tit blew my mind away and I had to do a double take! Local Norwich artist Rory Macbeth was inspired to paint his favourite novel, Sir Thomas More’s ‘Utopia’, on this buildings’ exterior walls for the EASTinternational 2006 contemporary art exhibition.
Guys…thanks so much for just going along with the flow and having such fun with the shoot, I hope you enjoy the images as much I as I enjoyed photographing you…
